- I will look into Dagon connection but as for Saturn, while he was mentioned in regards to agriculture he was more known for time.
All the symbols mentioned are allegorical with grain and humanity being synonymous. Without time grain nor people grow, the scythe represents the harvesting/death and the wheel represents the cycle of rebirth (although this aspect is more of an eastern belief as Rome in both theological incarnation imparted a permanence in the after life instead of a blissful or terrifying liminal space between lives.)
